Natural Shapes
I love taking care of plants, and sometimes I’m amazed at what Mother Nature1 can do. This time, I’m going to feature2 shapes!
Plants can make a perfect triangle:
So precise! They don’t need a protractor3!
And also, they can make a beautiful hexagon4:
I like it all the more that5 they trick us by not showing it obviously6:
(The same plant looks like this when you see it from the side. By the way, the gray hairy7 thing behind the hexagon is our cat, Tasha’s bottom8. She often comes into the picture when I try to take a photo. (^-^))
Sometimes, they can make a wiggly9 line so nicely:
They also have a sense of humor10!
…and the other day when we were gardening, Will spotted11 a bug12 who’s carrying a ….
HEART on its back13.

自然のかたち
私は植物の手入れをするのが好きなのですが、時々（母なる）自然のなせる業に驚かされます。今回は、形を取り上げます！
植物は完璧な三角が作れます。
見事に正確！分度器は必要なし！
また、美しい六角形も作れちゃいます。
明らかにそれと見せず、わたしたちの目をごまかしてくるからなおさら憎い！
（同じ植物を真横からみるとこんな感じ。ところで、六角形の後ろに見えるグレーの毛でふわふわしているものは、うちの猫ターシャちゃん臀部です。私が写真を撮ろうとするときいつもそこに入って来ます。(^-^) ）
時に、波線もきれいに描きます。
遊び心も持ち合わせている！
・・・そして、私たちがガーデニングをしていた時、ウィルがこんな虫を見つけました。
背中にハートを背負っている虫。
自然って面白くないですね！
