Another House Project – Fall, 2015

  This time, during the "Silver Week" holidays, I worked on¹ our kitchen wall. We had a very industrial-looking² kitchen wall around the cooker³. We, especially Will, had been hoping to do something with that for a long time.

  Recently, to keep my airplane mileage from⁴ expiring⁵, I had to take some action⁶ with our airplane company, like renting a car. Luckily, they count⁷ it if I buy something on some shopping sites, so I thought about getting something practical for our life and I bumped into⁸ this kitchen wallpaper.

  It’s fireproof⁹, easy-to-clean, and above all¹⁰, nice looking. With this brick-pattern which brings to our kitchen a more natural taste, our kitchen got a bit warmer, and not only that, the kitchen got brighter and looks a bit more spacious¹¹! Now it’s fun to go into the kitchen! 

  By the way, my stair project is still hanging over me. I just worked on one stair during Silver Week. So far, only three are done out of 14. A long long way to go. Whew!  f(^-^;)

家プロジェクト – ２０１５秋

今回、シルバーウィーク中に、キッチンの壁にちょっと手を入れました。ガスコンロの周りが飲食店の厨房風の無機質な感じだったので、私たち、特にウィルはずっとどうにかしたいと言っていたんです。

　最近、私の飛行機のマイレージのポイントが失効しないようにと、レンタカーを借りるなど航空会社に関連する何かをしなければなりませんでした。うまい具合に、航空会社のサイトを通して買い物をしてもよいとなっていたので、じゃあ何か生活に実用性のあるものを買おうと思い、このキッチン壁紙を見つけました。

　耐火性があり、よごれも落ち易く、その上見た目も良い。このナチュラルな感じのレンガ模様で、私たちのキッチンにもちょっと温もりが生まれ、そればかりではなく、明るくちょっと広い感じになりました。キッチンに入るのが楽しくなりました！

　階段プロジェクトはというと、まだ途上にあります。シルバーウィーク中１段だけやりました。ここまでで、１４段中たった３段。ま～だまだです。フー！f(^-^;)
