"Belated" Cat Day Talk
Did you know this? Me, I sure didn’t . One of my students told me that February 22 was Cat Day. Wow! Fun! The reason is that February is the second month, so the date is 2 22, which can be read "nyan nyan nyan" in Japanese.(In Japanese, 2 is "ni", and cat’s meowing in Japanese is "nyah" or "nyan".)
Since I was busy working on my taxes and getting ready to file, I was not able to write about this in my blog in time. However, by bringing up this talk late at this point, you can learn the word "belated", and also, we have a cat. So here is one more Cat
Day story. Here I go!
As I mentioned on Good Strawberry Day, which was January 15, we rescued a stray cat a year ago. At that time, she was introduced as a little mischievous girl, but… the truth is she’s such a sweet and fun girl to be with.
She sometimes says Hi to Ichigo in a friendly way.
She sometimes makes us laugh by sleeping on her back.
She sometimes tricks us by showing too many legs.
She sometimes plays hide and seek by herself.
She sometimes dreams of being a hand model.
Since she came to our house, our life has become a commune of human beings and animals. You know, Ichigo and Tasha team up and their power multiplies.
You might experience this when you come to our house because sometimes when the door bell rings, Will, me, Ichigo, and Tasha, all four of us welcome you at the door! It’s hilarious!
I’ll put some updates up on Cat Day next year! Stay tuned!

遅ればせながらの猫の日トーク
猫の日、知ってましたか？私は知りませんでした。習いに来ている方が教えてくれたんです。２月２２日は猫の日だと。まぁ！楽しい！ニャンニャンニャンと２２２との語呂合わせなんですって。
税の申告の準備で忙しかったので、その日に合わせてブログを更新出来ませんでした。でも、むしろこの時期に書くことによって、「遅ればせながら」を覚えてもらえるし、私たちのところにも猫がいるので、猫の話題が手元にありますから。さあ、行きますよ！
いいいちごの日の１月１５日に、１年前に捨てられた猫を助けた話をしました。そのときは、やんちゃな子として登場したのですが、本当は、可愛くって、一緒にいるのが楽しい子なんです。
時々は、いちごに優しいあいさつをするし、
仰向けで寝て、私たちを笑わせてくれるし、
時々、足が多すぎてドッキリさせるられるし、
時々、一人かくれんぼをしているし、
時々、手タレを夢見ていたりするし、
ターシャが我が家に来てから、私たちの生活は人間と動物の共同体のようになりました。いちごとターシャが組んだことによって、二人の力が倍増するような。
こちらを訪ねて来られたときにはそれを感じると思います。なぜなら、玄関のドアの呼び鈴がなると、時々ウィルと私といちごとターシャの４人がドアでお出迎えをしますから。おかしいですよ！
来年の猫の日にも、近況を伝えます！お楽しみに！
