New Year’s Eve
Finally we came this far1 : New Year’s Eve. In my case, I need a slow landing for vacation. Why? I’m a migraine2 person. So if I suddenly let my hair down3, the evil4 migraine will attack me for sure5. After the classes at colleges finished just before Christmas, I still had some classes at home for a week. Yesterday, which was the 30th, I had three classes, and today is the first day of my winter break. This way, I managed to slowly cool down my engines. So far, so good!6 No headache yet. (Knock on wood!)
Well, this year again, on New Year’s Eve our kid made a cake. At 8 o’clock in the evening, she announced, "I’m going to make a cake." and went out to get some sponge cake and cream, came back, whipped the cream, put some fruit on top, AND this is it ! Since we didn’t have a lot of stuff7 to put on it, it was simple but it was nice and yummy! Especially when someone else cooks, don’t you enjoy eating even more?
I wanted to take a better photo, but everybody was waiting to have the first bite8. Their eyes were really seriously saying, "how long more are you thinking of spending, only to get one photo for your blog?" I couldn’t risk my luck and follow my asthetic9 impulses. I didn’t have time to wipe the plate and show the cake in its best light10, but this shows the reality of our life in this house very truely and candidly11. /(^-^;)
After taking this photo, I also gobbled12 the cake. Oops!

大みそか
やっとここまで来ました。大みそか。私の場合、休みモードへは緩やかに切り替えないといけません。何故って？偏頭痛持ちだからです。もし突然リラックスモードに変えると、確実にあの悪夢の偏頭痛が襲ってくるのです。クリスマスのちょっと前に専門学校の授業が終わり、そのあと家の教室のクラスを１週間ほど続け、３０日の昨日は３クラス教えました。こんな風にゆっくりクールダウンさせました。今のところ大丈夫そう、私の頭痛！（クワバラ！）
さて、今年も大みそかに子どもがケーキを作りました。夜の８時になって、「私ケーキ作る！」と宣言。それからスポンジケーキとクリームを買いに行き、戻って来て、ホイップクリームを作り、フルーツをトッピング。それで出来あがり。上にのせるものが家にあまりなかったので、シンプルなケーキでしたが、とても美味しく作ってくれました！特に他の誰かに作ってもらうときって、いつもよりも～っと美味しく食べられますよね？
ほんとはもっと素敵に写真を撮りたかったけれど、一口めを今か今かと待つ家族が。「ブログに一枚使うためにあとどれだけ時間かけるの？」と真に訴えかける眼差し。私はリスクを冒してまで、自分の美学を追及するのは止めました。いい写真のためにお皿についたクリームを拭く時間も取れませんでしたが、このケーキの写真は本当の！そのまんまの！我が家の現実を映し出している一枚だと思います。/(^-^;)
この写真を撮ったあと、何を隠そう私もケーキをがっつきました。(笑)
