◆Thank You All

Thank You All

Probably as everyone feels, this year was kind of1 strange because our lifestyles were forced to2 change and it seems that the year passed in the blink of an eye3.

We learned to live cautiously and prudently4. We learned to be patient. We learned to enjoy the small things in our lives.

And also, in my case, I learned to be a bit more computer literate5. I caught up (a little?) with modern information technology. A year ago, I even didn’t think about giving classes online, but now it’s second nature6. It has been a big benefit to me!

Not only that, we also want to thank our students for adjusting to this change. We are sure that it was not easy to take online classes, but many of you were willing to7 shift to this unaccustomed8 style. We really appreciate it9 — thank you very much!

We wish you all Happy New Year!

  *Where are the year-end noodles?*

This is what we had on New Year’s Eve — not soba noodles, Pizza!

Having a young member in the family, I had to discard the fixed notion10 of having soba noodles on New Year’s Eve. I practiced11 what I learned during this year — be open to changes ! So I finished the year with pizza, the younger generation style(?). Now I have started to think about when to cook the raw soba noodles in the fridge before their expiration date. (^-^;)

  *F.I.Y.*

The other day, my friend told me about a project that she participated in — an art kit that is delivered to your home to use with you kids or grandchildren during this stay home time. If you are interested, check it out!
