The Season of Flowers

 　                    
　 Finally it is a perfect season to enjoy gardening! Our garden is full of colors now.

  These are the flowers that I bought during Golden Week. Remember? Every year I go out¹ and have a flower shopping spree² with my friend.( →See the blog last year in May.) On this day, I buy many flowers. I allow³ myself to splurge on⁴ flowers. Slowly when I had some free time on a few⁵ Sundays, they went to their own spots in the garden and now the garden is giving a lot of joy.  

  …and here is the Clematis that we enjoy every year! Now they are in full bloom⁶.

They crawl up⁷ the corner of our house. First the white one starts blooming⁸ and after that the purple one comes.

  It is fun to have our house surrounded by flowers in this season, but also it is fun because many people stop and talk about the flowers — these flowers connect us with the people who walk by.  We can enjoy conversation, too!!

花の季節

　やっと、ガーデニングを楽しむのに適した季節になりました。私たちの庭も今いろんな色に包まれています。

これらはゴールデンウィークのときに買ってきた花です。覚えてますか？毎年ゴールデンウィークに友達と出掛けて、花ショッピング三昧をしてくるという話。（→昨年の５月のブログ）　この日は、沢山の花を買います。我慢することなく思う存分花を買っていいことにしています。その後、日曜日が来るたび少しずつ時間を使って、ゆっくりとこの花たちは庭のそれぞれの場へと植えられました。今、この庭は私たちに多くの喜びを与えてくれています。

　・・・そして、毎年楽しんでいるクレマチス！現在、花盛りです。

　家の角の壁をつたって上へと伸びています。まず、白いクレマチスが咲き始め、それから紫のが咲きます。

　この季節、家が花で囲まれるのも楽しみの一つなのですが、多くの人が立ち止まって花を話題にお話ししていくのももう一つの楽しみなんです。花が通りすがりの人と私たちを結びつけてくれています。花は、人とお話しすることまで楽しませてくれるんです！
