A Sensational Experience

  I know the name of this fruit and I like the taste of this fruit (becuase I’ve had it in juice), but I hadn’t actually seen it or cut it in my hand¹ — blood oranges. Have you?

 

  I got one blood orange by chance². It seemed like a dark-colored navel orange without a navel³.  

　

  Since it was my first time to eat it at my house, I waited for the right moment. I excitedly cut it late at night, in the kitchen, alone.  

 

   Oh, boy! It was unreal⁴!

 

 

  As I stabbed the knife into⁵ the orange, a bl6od-like juice came runnning and dripping out⁶. Literally⁷, the color was like blood — dark red. It was like a horror movie! I had never had this kind of excitement before while having fruit.

 

  If you haven’t experienced this, you should try it. It’s quite fun! Buy one and enjoy a bloody⁸ moment! You reeeeally understand its name.

 

　

 

センセーショナルな体験

　このフルーツの名前も知っていたし、味も好きなのですが（ジュースで飲んだことがあるので）、でも、実際実物を手にして見て、それを切るということはありませんでした。そのフルーツはブラッドオレンジ。皆さんは体験済みですか？

　ひょんなことから、一つ頂いたんです。濃い色をしたおへそのないネーブルオレンジみたいな感じでした。

　家で食べるのが初めてだったので、いざ食べるぞという時まで待ちました。どんなものだろうとドキドキしながら、夜にキッチンで一人で切ってみました。

　へ～！マジ？

　オレンジにナイフを入れると、血のような果汁がにじみ出て滴りました。文字通り、色はまさに血の色 — 濃い赤。ホラー映画のようでした！フルーツを食べる時にこんなドキドキを味わったことはこれまでありませんでした。
