◆A Souvenir from Tokyo

A Souvenir from Tokyo

Around Obon break, it’s time for me to meet my good old1 friends. I had two of these reunions2 this year. One friend, who came back from near Tokyo, gave me this! Go-ma-ta-ma-go!

On the day I was going to meet her, I was remembering that she gave me Gomatamago a couple of years ago. It was really good and as you can see, it’s got such an impressive package which grabbed3 my heart so much the first time . (Of course, I love Gomatamago itself!) … and at night when I met her, she pulled this out of her bag saying "I might have given4 you this before, but…", and I said right away "I was just thinking about this today!"

A long time ago, I watched on TV how product packaging can help its sales. I totally understood when I saw this for the first time. I wonder if5 the package was designed by the guy whom I saw on TV. Not only the packaging, but I love the name because it’s a palindrome6. ( It reads the same from the beginning to the end and from the end to the beginning like "Madam, I’m Adam" or "race car". )

It’s kind of strange for me to say this, but isn’t this a good picture? the package is in perfect harmony with7 the dark table and the paper sliding screen8.

The sweets inside and the package are both so tasty!
