Merry Xmas!

 

  Are you having a nice Christmas time? Last time, I made a pre-christmas report, but this time I’ll show you around our Xmas decorations. You can see Will’s dedication¹ to our Christmas. 

 

    

  The metal figures which he started  decorating the entrance hall² with 3 years ago were upgraded this year. He lit them up³. It’s really nice! 

 

 

 　  

  This is our first experiment⁴ with the front door! Will found this special laser light at some store in the U.S. It was cheap! First we were not sure how we would light up the house with this light, but lighting just the door and not the whole house is just right. (Otherwise⁵, it looks like a house with chicken pox⁶!) So far⁷, the reactions of our students are good.

　　

　　

  As you can see, every year, Will is really trying to make our house look nice and warm⁸ for this special time of the year. I appreciate⁹ all his work!

 　

 

 　　      

  It all started with this tiny simple Christmas tree. This is our first tree which we bought after we got married. Will said that we need to have something for Christmas even though we lived in a tiny tiny apartment at that time. We found this compact book-type Christmas tree at the Maruzen Bookstore and brought it home to warm our house. It’s our special Christmas tree to cherish¹⁰ every year!

メリークリスマス！

　良いクリスマスをお過ごしですか？前回はクリスマス前のご報告をしましたが、今回は我が家のクリスマスの飾りをお見せしようと思います。ウィルのクリスマスへの献身的な努力を感じていただけると思います。

　３年前から玄関を飾り始まったメタルの人形は今年さらにグレートアップしました。明かりを灯してみたんです。なかなかいい感じです！

　こちらは玄関の外を飾る初めての試み！ウィルはこの特殊なレーザーのライトをアメリカのある店で見つけて来ました。高くないんです！初め、このライトでどう家を照らすのがいいのかしっくりこなかった私たちですが、家全体ではなくてドアだけ照らすのが丁度よいということに至りました。（そうしないと、水疱瘡にかかった家みたいになっちゃうんです！）今のところ、習いにみえる方たちの反応は上々。

　ご覧のように、毎年ウィルはこの特別な季節に我が家を温か～くいい感じにしようとよく頑張ってくれます。ウィルがやってくれることに感謝です！

　実は、すべてはこのシンプルなクリスマスツリーから始まりました。結婚して最初に買ったツリーです。当時、とてもとても狭いアパートに住んでいたのですが、ウィルはクリスマスに何かなくっちゃと言いました。そして、このコンパクトな本タイプのクリスマスツリーを丸善で見つけ、家に持って帰って、温かい気持ちで過ごせるよう部屋を飾りました。毎年大切な思いで飾る特別なツリーです！
