Nesting Birds!
The second representative of the avian1 residents in our neighborhood is shijyukara, a great tit. (This is quite a strange name. It’s almost too weird2 to explain here, so I’ll leave it to you. f(^-^;) ) Will got a bird house through his friend and put it up3 on a tree near our house. For a while, it was empty, but now we have a tiny resident who goes through that tiny hole. A great tit started nest4ing! Isn’t it cute, peeking out5 of the house?
Thanks to Will, I can catch up6 what’s going on in this neighborhood just like this. An acquaintance of our friend is now making bird houses for his pastime7 after his retirement. After he makes them, some of them come to Will and his friend and are hung on the trees. I wonder when we can see the babies?
Anyway, up to this point, this bird housing project is quite successful! One house is sold!
Until recently, we have been hearing Uguisu, and now Hototogisu started singing. Speaking of singing birds, in the last couple of days, I haven’t heard Gabicho. Maybe it is on a trip8 somewhere to meet that someone who it is destined to9 meet. Good luck, Gabi!*

巣ごもる鳥たち！
近所の鳥住人の次なる代表者は、シジュウカラ、英語名great titです。（英語は、スゴク変な名前です。あまりに変なので、ここではご説明致しません。お任せします。f(^-^;)） ウィルは友人から巣箱を手に入れ、それを近くの木に取り付けました。しばらくは誰も住んでいなかったのですが、今はあの小さい穴から出入りする小さな住人がいます。巣箱から顔を覗かせて、カワイイでしょ！
ウィルのお陰で、私もこんな風にこの辺で何が起こっているかの情報について行くことが出来ます。私たちの友人の知り合いの方が退職後趣味に鳥の巣箱を作っているということで、巣箱が出来ると、それらのいくつかがウィルとその友人のもとに届きます。それを二人が木に取り付けます。赤ちゃんシジュウカラはいつ見ることが出来るかな～？
ひとまず、ここまでは、この鳥の住処プロジェクトは上々。一棟お買い上げ～！
最近までウグイスが鳴いていたと思ったら、今はホトトギスが鳴き始めました。鳥のさえずりと言えば、ここ２、３日ガビチョウを聞いていません。もしかしたら、運命の人（？）を探す旅に出たのかな？頑張れ、ガビちゃん！*
