Tasha Lives in a New House!

Ta-da! Tasha has got a new cozy¹ place² for herself. Now it’s her favorite place. She can stay in there³ all day long.

The idea of making a cat house suddenly came to me when I saw a cardboard box⁴ in the house about to be⁵ thrown away. I know exactly how Will felt — "Not again!"

You know, I always save things that Will is going to chuck⁶. I feel like I will be able to use it some day. (Sorry, Will f(^-^;) ) This time, I had a very clear idea so I got on⁷ my project right away and finished it in 30 minutes!

Tasha was at first very suspicious⁸ about this big toy, but then soon this curious⁹ girl peeked in¹⁰ and decided to go inside. She was so excited that she played with me from inside the box wildly. She cracked me up¹¹!

Now she is accustomed to¹² her new residence¹³ and often sleeps peacefully inside.

If I had known that she would like a cat house so much, I would have made it a long time ago. Well, since she liked it so much, I have already started to wonder what to build next time, like a two-story¹⁴ house or a condominium¹⁵!

Thanks to¹⁶ Tasha, there is always something to do.(^-^;)

３　普通 there は前置詞も含みますが、そちらは２次元の時の話。ex. I went there. I sat there.

　　ところが３次元の場合は in を残すことによって、「空間」の感じを生み出します。

１５　英語で mansion は「豪邸」になります。

１６　日本語訳の「～のせいで」は本来は negative な感じ。(英語は due to ~)。英語で "Thanks to ~" を使ったのは、手はかかるけどカワイイ家族なのでjokeでそう伝えました。

ターシャ、新しい家に住む！

　ジャーン！ターシャに自分専用の新しい住み心地のいい家がやって来ました。今やターシャの大好きな場所です。一日中そこに入っていることもあります。

　捨てられる寸前の段ボール箱を見て、キャットハウスを作ってあげようと思いつきました。ウィルが何と思ったかはお見通し — 「またあ！」

　実は私、ウィルが捨てようとするものをいつも拾ってしまうんです。いつか使えるかもと思って。（ゴメンなさ～い、ウィル f(^-^;)）今回は、明確なアイディアがあったので、すぐにそのプロジェクトに取り掛かり、３０分で仕上げました。

　ターシャは初めこの大きな箱の登場をかなり疑っている様子でしたが、そのあとはすぐに好奇心旺盛のこの猫ちゃんは中を覗き込み、入って行きました。あまりに楽しくなっちゃったようで、箱の中から私とワイルドに遊びました。思わず笑っちゃいました！

　今ではもうこの新しい住まいにすっかり慣れて、中で安心してすやすや眠ります。

　こんなにキャットハウスを喜ぶと知っていたら、もっと前に作ってあげたのに。まあ、ターシャがこんなに気に入っているので、次に何を建ててあげようか考え始めました。２階建てにするか？それともマンション風にするか？

　ターシャのせいで、いつもやること満載。(^-^;)
