2 Kinds of Food

  I couldn’t update my blog for a while, so I accumulated¹ some stories. To catch up with them, while I can’t talk about all of them, I will put two in one.

 

  This year, again, we got raspberries² from our garden. We always move our plants here and there
until we find the ideal³ spot. Last year, we didn’t have a great raspberry year, so Will declared that he would take care of the raspberries in a big pot and make sure to water⁴ really often. It worked! and Will worked, too. Watering, watering, and watering. Thanks to his contribution⁵, we got the best harvest ever!

     

 

  The other food talk is …. a fun souvenir⁶ from my student who went to Nagoya on business⁷. I heard about this unique combination and a while ago⁸ my friend sent me the photo of this when she went on a trip⁹ to Nagoya. This is my closest encounter¹⁰ with Nagoya. Oh, I mean toast with red sweet beans¹¹ that everybody is talking about. It was a very good and fun treat¹²! 

 

 

 

 

食べ物、２種

　しばらくブログをアップ出来なかったので、いくつか話が溜まってしまいました。追いつくため、全部とはいきませんが、２つの話を一つのブログにまとめちゃいます。 

　今年も、私たちの庭からラズベリーが採れました。いつも、理想の場所を見つけるまで、植物をあっちだこっちだと動かしています。昨年、ラズベリーの収穫が今一つだったので、ウィルは次は大きな鉢に移して世話をし、頻繁に水を与えるようにすると宣言しました。それが功を奏しました！ウィルもよく頑張ってくれました。水やり、水やり、来る日も来る日も水やり。その貢献があったために、今年は今までで一番多い収穫となりました。

　もう一つの食べ物の話は… 仕事で名古屋へ行った生徒の方からの楽しいお土産。このユニークな掛け合わせについて聞いたこともありましたし、しばらく前に名古屋を旅行した友人が「その」写真を送ってくれたこともありました。このお土産のお陰で、私は名古屋との、というか、噂の小倉トーストとの大接近を果たしました。とっても楽しくて美味しいおやつを頂きました！
