Finally Summer!

 　                    
  We had such a long rainy season. The laundry always stayed¹ wet, every corner in the room was moldy². This damp³ weather was really long this year, wasn’t it? However, finally the time to say good bye to that has come! Yeah! Plus a weekend! Yeah!

  This morning, which is finally Sunday, I slept in⁴ and took a shower, came back to the room on the second floor, …and saw THIS out of the window. It really made me feel summer is here! and this wonderful spectacle lightened my feelings! ( Having a lot of work on my to-do list⁵ on top of⁶ my classes, It was like I was under a heavy black rain cloud for a while. I was moved all the more⁷! )

  I always enjoy seeing people in boats on the river paddling in this season. Sometimes a boy friend and a girl friend. Sometimes parents and kids. It’s fun even to see other people having a good time. In the bright summer sunlight, against the deep green trees, people are spending some peaceful moments in boats. Nothing can be more soothing⁸ than this. I can have this peaceful picture in front of me every day …

  In addition to that, how about this,

　In my head, "What a Wonderful Life" by Louis Armstrong was playing! (^-^) —　♪♪ I see trees of green, red roses, too. I see them bloom for me and you. And I think to myself, what a wonderful world.♪♪ — ( I could cry. )

やっと夏が来た！

　長い梅雨でしたね。洗濯物は湿りっぱなしで、部屋の隅にはカビが生え始め、今年のこのじめじめした気候は長かった。でも、やっとそれに別れを告げるときが来ました。やった～！ついでに週末！やった～！

　今朝、待ちに待った日曜日、朝寝坊をし、シャワーを浴び、２階の部屋に戻って来たら・・・、窓からこんな光景が。思わず夏だな～って思いました！そして、この美しい眺めに一気に気持ちも軽くなりました！（クラスを教える以外にやることリストに片づけなければいけない仕事がたんまりあって、しばらく黒くて重～い雨雲の下で押しつぶされているような気持ちになっていたんです。だから感動もひとしお！）

　いつもこの季節、川でボートを漕いでいる人たちを見るのが好きなんです。彼氏や彼女。親子。他の人がいい時間を過ごしているのを見ても楽しいんです。強い夏の日差しの中、濃い緑の木々を背景に、人々が川に浮かぶボートで平和な時間を過ごしているなんて、これ以上に穏やかな気持ちにさせてくれるものはありません。毎日見ててもいいくらい・・・。
