Fresh from the Garden
It is time to enjoy some "edible1" things from our garden! Not just looking at flowers, but we can enjoy the practical2 use of the garden.
Actually, we don’t have that many edible things in our garden, but we do have some berries. The berries which came to the table from our garden first year were raspberries3. We planted them maybe 3 years ago. This year we moved them from the ground to a planter. The planter is relatively4 small, but maybe the sun and watering was perfect for them to grow. This was the fourth serving5! Fresh from the garden! So much fun!
Actually, I was waiting for the other berries, which are our blueberries, to come to our kitchen so I could show them with these rasberries on the blog at the same time6, but they are not ripe7 yet.
Instead, our neighbor brought us a very interesting vegetable from her garden. What a fun great thing! Look!
This fun thing is called "Pattypan Squach8". We haven’t cooked it yet. We are enjoying looking at that funny UFO like apperance9. We’ll enjoy tasting it after we enjoy it as a piece of art10 for a while. It’s twice as much fun!
The new member of the family, Tasha, is also very interested in it!
